Well, this might sound absurd but just to know what kind of topics you blog on! Do you maintain multiple blogs for specific topic or dump everything into a single blog?
I maintain a single blog and dump everything into it! Makes my blogging look personal and interactive.
I have 2 public and 3 private blogs. Each one is about a different topic. The private one's are for my eyes only. :D I use a blog to track it because it's got to be tracked every day, and I like the format of a blog.
I blog about anything and everything on the main blog. I realize some people don't want to read the minutae of wine and food (or would rather find it in one place), so my husband and I have a second blog we share. Then I started a third blog last month to put all the career advice on. That one got short shrift last month.
I agree, when the blog is a catchall, it's more personal. However, the other two topics might bore others. It just makes it hard to categorize your blog to others when everything is in one place!
Usually I blog about something that happened to me during the day... I usually just "fly by the seat of my pants" when it comes to any sort of strategy for my blog. :)
Everything and anything. Stuff that happens to me, pictures, videos, personal stuff, general stuff, cartoons, my cats, dating, family, parents, a little bit about work, my recent hip problems and upcoming hip surgery. Mostly one blog. Occasionally I'll write a post with a lot of detail about something, so I put that on my Details blog. But it's tough enough keeping one blog.
I call my blog A Slice of Life...and that's pretty much what a blog about. I take one little thing that happened during the day and exand on it...usually in a somewhat humourous fashion. I do it so that I don't forget those little things that happen and just crack me up.
I do have a second blog for just artsy type stuff...but I always forget to post to it. Oh the guilt!
