Another Perfect Day

Today I spent over two and a half hours at the gym on two separate occasions.  I had the intent to do all my workout in one fell swoop, but a potty accident called me to Kid’s Club, cutting my gym event slightly short (an hour and a half instead of two hours). Evidently, the [...]

When I was in Seattle, I met a couple friends and went to the Ballard Farmer's Market, which is much much larger than when I last lived in Seattle. This is the second and last part of my photoessay of the Ballard Farmer's Market. In part one, I showed you fresh produce, and in part two, I will show you flowers and soaps.

Bad to Better

WARNING!! This is a boring post. Feel free to ignore today's entry.

This morning I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I was CRANKY. I felt wound up, stressed out, snippy and bear-like. I had quite a few really really stupid-waste of time meetings. I shouldn't have to explain simple concepts over and over and over to the same people. It's not that hard. Just step back for a second and listen. I swear that during one meeting, I almost stood up and said, "You are too stupid for me to be wasting my time with - go ahead fuck it up, I don't care." But, really, I do care. And I stayed seated and finally, finally, finally got my point across.

Then, I just had a couple of pain in the ass meetings. Holy shit - I feel like a babysitter sometimes. I'm okay with being a cheerleader - but being a babysitter is just annoying. Then, I had lunch with a friend - which was wonderful. Then, I had a few more stupid-waste of time meetings. Then, I had some GREAT VERY EXCITING meetings. Then, my parents came back over. THEN I went to Taekwondo (I really didn't want to) but I got to kick things and yell HI-YA and smack things with sticks. Ahhhh... It was just what I needed.

My parents left - they are flying home tomorrow. Which bums me out some. But, my mom comes back next week - so WE CAN GO TO ITALY!

Sorry for the rant post...

a bit confused

I hate this election because it is making me see some ugly things. For example, John McCain refusing to shake Barack Obama's hand post-debate. Why? Why would a person do that? Yuck. It's ugly. And that's not the only thing, of course, but I feel icky even thinking about this stuff and how awful it is so I'll move on.

Loved the debate.

Hit the thrift store today and found some awesomeness - a stocking stuffer item for the boys and some trays for when I pretend I am going to homeschool and need places for them to contain their messes. Athena loves school now -- loves the homework and the social aspect, and I have seen her make tremendous progress in the last month, but...

Did some Halloween/fall decorating yesterday and it made me both happy and sad -- happy because we have really fun fall/Halloween decorations, because last year Jason sent me shopping specifically for decorations with a decor budget. That's the only time that has happened. But anyway the stuff is cute and cozy and homey and it made me remember how much I LOVE fall in this neighborhood and in this house. But of course it is our last fall in this house too, so that's a bit of a downer.

There are several job possibilities on the horizon, including a couple in Columbus. This all has come about in the last two days, and encouragement and hope count for a lot.

The adventures of Mom the efficient robot and her slacker daughter, Bee. Some Andy too.

Okay, how different can mom and I be?

The other day, I was happily clicking (by clicking I mean blog stalking and/or wishing some people into oblivion)(for what it's worth, my wishes never come true so you have nothing to fear you douche bags that piss me off!)(unless we meet in person, then you better run faster than my little legs can)(sorry, still having crappy times @ Beeland) away while my mom watched TV in my living room. All of a sudden she gets up and says "I have a headache..." if you think her next words were 'I'm going to take a nap' you are as clueless as I am and now I like you better. What she said was "... I'm going to clean."

Uh seriously? Who does that?? My mom, that's who! This is the same lady that rearranged furniture all by herself when she was 8 1/2 months pregnant with me! Which might explain some things...

Let's imagine I have a headache and see how that scenario would have played out, shall we?

"Dammit! My head hurts!" click click scroll read more blogs "Gah! Will this torture ever end!!" pick up cell phone and call Andy who is in another room "Babe, can you bring me a couple of Advil and some Pomegranate juice? ... Because my head really hurts. ... Reading blogs. ... I know I'm closer to the kitchen but- okaaaay! I'll wait for you to kill another troll!" mutter mutter click click laugh laugh "Ouch!" pick up cell phone call Andy, hear Darth Vader's ring tone thingy in the distance "Head. Still. Hurts. ... Okay, I'll go lie down and I guess I can go get my own Advil and juice."

Get up, medicate myself while balancing laptop, extension cord and glass of juice.

Set up my laptop on the bed, turn on the TV, click click click click.

Not once, do I think 'I should tidy up the house'.

P.S.
I never said it was easy to live with me. I am a demanding short person.

P.P.S
While looking for a more attractive than myself picture of a women in bed with a red laptop (yup I am very specific in the images I bring forth onto you guys, you're welcome!), I came a cross this:

I shall call it "Woman on red balls"

Anyway, the website Pure Contemporary is abso-freakin'-lutely awesome! When I finally find a sucker kindly rich person to buy my liver, I will decorate my house from corner to corner in awesomeness!

P.P.S.
Things that pissed me off today:

Bee:
Andy, can you turn on the grill so it's hot when I come home?

Andy:
IT'S RAINING!

Bee:
Yeaaaah but I'm not asking you to stand outside the whole time! Just turn it on and then run back inside!

Andy:
...

Bee:
Ya' know what?? I forgot about your fear of melting! I'll do it myself!

2 hours after he ate the deliciousness which is my grilling.

Andy:
Mmmm! That was good Bee!

Bee:
It's a good thing I had my super anti-melting jacket on so that I may provide you with your meat!

Andy:
Asshole.
.
Okay it was just one thing.

Humor-Blogs, they have no fear of water.

Been A While

It has been a few weeks since I have posted. I am awful at this. I haven't had much happening lately so that is probably why I haven't posted. This past week we went to Art in the Park in Boulder City. We go every year and see some neat stuff. I have a few items that I need to look into. I found my mom a pretty bracelet for Christmas. I need to order it so I can have it here to send in December.

I haven't seen anything for my dad yet. He is so hard to shop for. I need to call them tomo…

Blank Screen

I have been staring at this blank screen for a while. And hoping that inspiration will come.

The rain is pounding and nothing I can think of nothing except running out there screaming in... something or another. The barely repressed pain of the last couple of weeks is starting to bubble in rage and I don't really know how to deal with it anymore.

I just want...

It sounds stupid (and I know I've been going on about it a lot and I'm sorry...) but I can't believe how badly I…
